Jabba, read the whole article. I like the naivete with which Sonu sees the “world” of Loyola. Any Loyolite would identify with him.

Buddy, I would expect a PART 2 of Where’s Mahabali?! Coz, Sonu could run into Mahabali (literally) on a Youth Festival day behind the auditorium, in the quadrangle on the stands during a BB match or even better in a very silent “moral science” class…

Sonu surely has more places to explore before he can fathom it all. So keep it rolling..

Sajad, Bimal and Joseph, thank you very much for the nice words. Thanks also to Ashok who like a good editor, critiqued my first draft and suggested chopping off entire paras, sentences and words. Like most novices I hate rewrites, but he managed to make me do a second run on the story.

Jiby Chetta, Stunning story. Visually very gripping! Reading it, I could just see all those erstwhile haunts of ours. As Sajad said, the sense of adventure one feels when venturing into all those forests, haunted houses- even for such a small thing as going to senior school to eat Joseph uncle’s parotta and beef- was unparalleled!
A nicely done social commentary on these times we live in as well! I see (from your blog as well) that your foray into journalism has made you very socially conscious!

Guys like you have been inspiring for juniors like us to take up writing and I feel no shame in admitting that.

Wonderfully “Loyola-like”..and personally I can relate with Sonu’s sense of adventure. (though from experience I would say Sonu would’ve been caught in real life.)

There is change in Loyola. Some for the good. A lot for the bad. I’m glad seniors like you guys still take interest in the betterment of the school.
